Starting to compile ideas for HU2, heres some basic ideas/changes/improvements from HU1:

i want it to be alot closer to budokai 3/shin budokai then the original HU was, even though i was semi-basing that game off budokai 3 to begin with <.<

when choosing/changing a character youll be brought to the char selection screen instead of choosing from a list like in HU1

Character count will be much lower as i'll only be adding completed icons to the game

Fusion will definetly be added early on, but youll only be able to fuse 2 valid characters, ie: goku and vegeta, not randomly buu and yamcha

All combat will take place in seperate battle "maps", possibly even with a side-view type battle system like budokai 3/shin budokai, there will however be the possibility of multiple players in a single fight, not just 1v1 battles, and there will still be an overall world map like in HU1

All attacks will be "holdable", whether its holding down the button to charge up its attack power like on a spirit bomb or just holding it down to continually fire a kamehameha

instead of having offscreen html popups all windows will be handled by in-game on-screen menus

there will NOT be random stat training, all stat boosts will be gained directly through leveling or from equipment bonuses

Each character will be leveled seperately, and each of them will have their own custom move sets.

You wont be able to get 10 billion PL, youll be capped at so many bars like in budokai 3, same with Ki and the rest of the stats

Make 2 different "Modes"

- Battle Mode: Side-View, used when you are fighting someone (Player or NPC). Battle takes place here.

and

- Adventure Mode: View like HU1, where you move around and go to Shops, talk to NPC's, fly about the maps, collect items, etc.

When you talk to an NPC like Raditz or Cell, you go into Battle Mode.

The stages for Battle Mode should be location-specific. For example, if you challenge someone to a fight when you are on Namek, you should be fighting on a Namek stage. Likewise, if you are over the ocean, you should fight while hovering over the water.
Fusion should be possible, but not between 2 players. You should have -the NPC's of Goku, Vegeta, Goten and Kid Trunks have a secondary option of FUSION when you approach them as their Fusion Partner (IE: Approach Vegeta as Goku).

Before Battles, you should have a screen that you go to that's like a Waiting Room. When on this screen, you can set up your Attacks, Z Items(or whatever you would name them), and/or set a Wager (A bet of Zennie or Items for the winner to take).

Attacks should be useable only by the characters who showed them in the manga and anime. Ex: Only Tien,Chiatzou, and General Tao should be able to fire a Dodompa.

When you learn new attacks, they should go to a "Technique Pool". When you get to setting up your attacks before a fight, you scroll through the Technique Pool and choose 3 attacks. 1 Power Attack, 1 Speed Attack, and 1 Ultimate Attack. Now to explain what I mean by those:

Power Attack: Whichever technique you set to be the Power Attack does 125% damage (25% more damage than normal value), but takes up more Ki to use.

Speed Attack: Whichever technique you set to be the Speed Attack does 75% damage (25% less damage than normal value), but is fired faster and takes less Ki to use.

Ultimate Attack: Whichever technique you set to be the Ultimate Attack(Only certain techniques like Spirit Bomb or Death Ball can be set to this), does tremendous damage, but is only useable 1 time in the match, and it leaves you drained.

When special requirements are fulfilled, or by beating certain missions/quests, you should be able to learn Support Techniques, such as Instant Transmission, Full Power Charge, Kaioken, Energy Explosion, Split Form, etc. etc.. Only 1 may be chosen when you enter Battle, and it can only be used when you've got over 50% of your Ki Gauge left. Some would need limiters on them to prevent abuse.


Here's what I've come up with as a general way the Key's could be layed out:

Left/Right Arrows: Move to the left or right of the screen

Up Arrow: Jump. Press again in the air to do a Double Jump.

Down Arrow: Hold to descend from a Jump faster.

S Key: Weak Melee Attack. This is the faster, weaker attack. Keep clicking to do a fast combo of weak hits, or tap it a few times then use a Strong Melee Attack to end the combo.

F Key: Strong Melee Attack. Used to Stun or Knock Back the opponent. Cannot be used to begin Combo's.

G Key: Throwing Attack. Effect would vary by character, but most if not all would involve throwing the enemy back a distance.

D Key: Tap to fire a Ki Blast. Hold to charge up and release to fire stronger Ki Blast. If held for 5 seconds it automatically launches and fires a Ki Wave/Beam instead.

W Key: Hover
-While Hovering: Arrow keys control movement up,down,left and right. -Tap W again to land.

E Key: Power Up

R Key: Use Support Technique

1 Key: Power Attack

2 Key: Speed Attack

3 Key: Ultimate Attack

Z Key: Transformations



Exclusive Items
--------------------------
These items should be useable by only 1 character (the character who the item belongs to) and should be obtained by maxing that character's level and/or completing a specific task (Like for Broly's, defeating Goku in battle.....)

Z Sword: Equipped it gives an increase to Melee Attack Damage. If Gohan equips it, he can use his Mystic/Chou form.

Broly's Crown: If equipped by Broly, this will block his LSSJ form from being usable manually. However, after enough damage is taken, the Crown will break and Broly will immediately enter LSSJ form with full Ki and his HP will be restored by 50%.

Gohan's Sword: If Equipped by Kid Gohan, Melee damage increases.

Power Pole: Goku and Kid Goku. When equipped, Melee damage increases and (if possible) the Power Pole is used when doing Melee attacks.

Frieza's Space Ship: When Frieza dies, he is revived to 50% HP and 100% Ki in Mecha form.

Big Getti Star:Replenishes Meta Cooler's Ki by 2% every 3 seconds and his HP by 1% every 3 seconds.

Dragonballs: Allows Garlic Junior to take on his Larger form with 150% normal HP (Since he was made immortal, his HP should be infinite but that makes him broken as hell so being at 150% seems fair).

Black Star Dragonballs: Allows Syn Shenron to become Omega Shenron during battle with increased Ki,Strength and Defense. (Normally, he should be a seperate character)

Trunks' Sword: Trunks' Melee damage increases, and he uses the sword in his attacks.

Brave Sword: Same as Trunks' Sword but for Tapion.

Mystic Gohan: Allows Super Buu to begin the battle as Mystic Buu/Gohan Buu

Gotenks: Allows Super Buu to begin the battle as Gotenks Buu.

Support Techniques:

Energy Explosion: Unleash your Ki to create an explosive aura of power that knocks the opponent back a good ways, and dizzies/stuns them. Uses 50% of the Ki Gauge and can be used unlimited times.

Kaio-Ken: Powers Goku up to Kaio-Ken form. The Ki Gauge goes all the way up to 100%, but slowly drains to nothing. When it hits 0%, Kaio-Ken ends and Goku is back to normal form. While in Kaio-Ken form, Goku deals more damage with Melee, Ki Blasts, and his Speed&Power Attacks, and takes less damage from attacks. Super Saiyan is impossible while in Kaio-Ken. Only useable once per battle.Goku Only.

Instant Transmission: Teleports you behind the opponent to the tile directly behind them. If used while charging the Kamehameha with Goku, you use the IT Kamehameha, which does more damage than normal and cannot be blocked.

Full Power Charge: Instantly fills the Ki Gauge up to 100%. This Support Tech. does not require you to be at or above 50% Ki to use it. Once per battle only.

Power Ball: Launches a Power Ball up into the air. Allows the player to assume Oozaru form. Only useable by Saiyan's. Only usable once per battle. Oozaru form lasts until the end of the fight. When in Oozaru form, Melee damage increases tremendously, and you get the "Brick Wall" effect that lets you go un-phased when hit by normal attacks.

Split Form: Creates an NPC that is an exact copy of your character, however it has only 1/2 of your own stats. Can be used multiple times but you can only have 1 Split Form at a time.

After Image: Use it to activate After Image mode. When activated, the next attack that is launched at you will be negated, as you teleport away from the attack and an afterimage is in your place to take the damage.Can be used multiple times per battle.

Hypersonic Flight: Use it to activate Hypersonic Flight mode. When activated, for the next 10 seconds you fly around at a much faster rate than normal. Can be used multiple times.

Piccolo's Support: Effect varies on Character.
**Note: All (Character) Support skills are only usable once per battle.
**Note: The Support Character CAN BE HIT before they perform their actions. Hitting them will nullify their actions.

-as Goku: Goku(You) grab and hold the enemy, and then Piccolo fires a Special Beam Cannon at them. Goku takes a huge amount of damage but so does the enemy. A double-edged sword.

-As Gohan: Piccolo and Gohan both fire the Masenko attack together for double damage.


Goku's Support: Effect varies on Character.

-As Gohan(Teen): Father-Son-Kamehameha is used. Much bigger/wider than a normal Kamehameha, and twice as strong.

-As Gohan(Kid/Baby): Goku flies in and goes for a combo but is beaten back. Gohan, saddened by this, unlocks his rage/potential, giving him stronger Melee attacks, Ki Attacks, and giving him a "Brick Wall" effect that allows him to go un-phased when hit by normal attacks.

-As Gohan(Adult): Goku and Gohan team up for a double-team Combo attack of Melee hits, followed by a double knockback attack to send the enemy flying.

-As Piccolo: Goku flies in and holds the enemy for you for a few seconds. From here you can do whatever you want (Melee attack them, Ki Blast them, etc.). However, if you use Special Beam Cannon, it deals 2x damage, but instantly ends Goku's hold on the enemy. Otherwise, after 5 seconds Goku lets go of them and leaves the map.

-As Hercule: Goku calls up a Spirit Bomb, which is aided by all the people of the galaxy answering Hercule's and Goku's calls for energy. Spirit Bomb is launched at the enemy after 5 seconds for tremendous damage (Instant death on Buu, Frieza,Cell or Omega Shenron). If Goku is attacked before the time is up, he will be knocked out of the attack and leave the map, without throwing the SB.


Hercule's Support:Varies by character

-As Goku: Hercule calls upon all the people of the Earth to assist Goku by raising their arms and giving energy. The people of the galaxy also assist him, and Goku launches a super Spirit Bomb at the enemy. Deals tremendous damage (Instantly kills Buu,Frieza,Cell or Omega Shenron). If you are hit while charging, you will not be knocked out of the attack, but you will lose twice as much HP as normal per hit.

-As Fat Buu: Hercule coaches Buu into having a bigger fighting spirit, making Buu's Ki recharge and his Melee damage increase for 10 seconds.

Tien's Support: Tien flies in and moves to the top right or left corner of the screen (opposite of the enemy) and fires 5 Tri Beam's before falling to the ground. Tri Beam's are all normal power and can be dodged, but they're big/wide and come out rather fast. You can still hit the enemy while Tien is firing the Tri Beams.

Yamcha's Support: Yamcha dashes in and uses Wolf Fang Fist on the enemy. You can still move but cannot hurt the enemy until the animation for WFF is finished. Does normal WFF damage.

Krillin's Support: Krillin launches 3 Destructo Disc's at the enemy. They're unblockable and do tremendous damage, but they're non-homing and will only fire across the screen, diagonally up, and then diagonally down. You can still move and attack normally while he is firing them.

Burter/Jeice Support:

-As Burter: Jeice dashes in, and together Burter and Jeice perform their double-attack they used on Goku (forgot the name of it).

-As Jeice: Same, but Burter comes in instead of Jeice. You cannot control Jeice/Burter during this.

Cooler/Frieza Support:

-As Cooler: Frieza comes in and dashes to the top-right corner. Cooler dashes to the top-left corner. Both of the brothers launch a Death Ball simultaneously at the enemy. Death Ball explodes on contact with the map or the enemy.

-As Frieza: Same but Cooler comes in. You cannot control Cooler/Frieza during this.

17/18 Support:

As 17: #18 comes in and both 17 and 18 move to the top center of the map, back to back, before firing a large amount of Ki Blast's down at the enemy.

As 18: Same but 17 comes in. Cannot control 17/18 during the animation.


Transformation's
--------------------------------
Transformations can be used when your Ki is above 50%. If your Ki goes lower than 10%, and you are hit with a Strong Melee attack, you revert.Boosts do not stack (IE: SSJ2 is not SSJ1 + SSJ2 boosts to achieve 60% increase).

SSJ: Strength, Defense, and Ki Damage increase by 30%.

USSJ: Trunks Only.Must be in SSJ1 first. Strength increases by 50%, Defense increases by 30%, Ki Damage increases by 30%, but your Movement speed and Attack Speed are severely lowered. Constantly drains Ki.When Ki hits 0%, you revert to normal form.

LSSJ: Broly Only.Must be in SSJ1 first. Strength increases by 50%, Defense increases by 40%, Ki Damage increases by 40%.

SSJ2: Gohan,Goku,Vegeta only.Must be in SSJ1 first. Strength, Defense and Ki Damage increase by 50%.

SSJ3: Goku and Gotenks only. Must be in SSJ2(Goku) or SSJ1(Gotenks) first. Strength,Defense,Ki Damage increase by 65%, and when you move, instead of normal movement, you dash around.Drains Ki at a high rate.

SSJ4: This is more of a note on SSJ4. I feel that SSJ4 Goku, Vegeta and Gogeta should be seperate characters from their normal forms, as you don't go to SSJ4 from SSJ3 form or anything like that.

Frieza's Forms: Each subsequent form increases Strength,Defense and Ki Damage by 10%. So, Form 2 is 10%, Form 3 is 20%, Form 4 is 30%, Form 5 is 40%.

Cooler's Form: Final Form increases Strength,Defense and Ki Damage by 45%.

Lord Slug's Form: Slug's Giant Form increases Strength and Defense by 25%, and Ki Damage by 20%. Melee Attack range is increased, due to Slug's arms being much longer.

Secret Techniques
----------------------------

Some techniques should be usable but not outright stated just how to use them. One example is one I said above:

IT Kamehameha: Use Instant Transmission as Goku with the Kamehameha as one of your equipped Attacks, and you will perform an IT Kamehameha instead of a normal IT.


I'm not sure just how many of these could be added, but that's 1 example at least. Use your imagination or something happy.gif

Now then, for a few other things:

Gogeta: Gogeta should begin with a boost of 25% for all of his stats. SSJ form increases this up to 65%. Ki should gradually replenish itself. The match must finish in less than 180 seconds. If it does not, Gogeta unfuses and the user loses.

SSJ4 Gogeta: Gogeta should begin with a boost of 100% for all of his stats. Essentially, Gogeta is twice as powerful as any base character. No Ki Regeneration powers, and the match must be finished in 60 seconds. If the fight goes any longer, Gogeta unfuses and the user loses.

Gotenks: Gotenks should begin with a boost of 10% for all of his stats. SSJ1 form increases this to 40%, SSJ3 increases it to 60%. Ki Rapidly replenishes. If the match goes longer than 180 seconds, Gotenks unfuses and the user loses.

Vegito: Vegito should begin with a boost of 20% for all of his stats. Super Vegito form increases this to 65%. Vegito cannot be unfused in matches.

Omega Shenron: Omega should begin with a boost of 85% to all his stats. Omega has no transformations. Ki should rapidly replenish, and an HP Regenerating factor should be given.

SSJ4 Goku: SSJ4 Goku should begin with a boost of 75% to all his stats.

SSJ4 Vegeta: SSJ4 Vegeta should begin with a boost of 75% to all his stats.

Burter: Burter should move around twice the normal movement speed. Additionally, his normal Weak combo string should be longer and faster than other characters'.

Piccolo: Piccolo should constantly replenish HP by a small amount. If Piccolo is hit by a Power,Speed,or Ultimate Attack, he should have a 10% chance to recover half the damage inflicted.

Cell: Cell should have the same effect as Piccolo.

Buu (All forms): Buu should regenerate HP by a moderate amount.

The transes arent in order that you use them, and plus, notice that the starred ones * are oens that are usable only by using one of the Special Tech's.
